What's on my mind is that I don't have a possum under the house any more. AC man cam to do the seasonal tuneup and crawled under the house to meet the thing eye to eye. [Crawled backward at lightning speed.] So I called the ratcatcher and he went down there to try and catch it. It was DEAD! Anyway, gone now and I hope the same guy comes back because I want to rib him about being scared of a dead possum. That's opossum to be official about it.

Hey [MENTION=20933]LJay[/MENTION] its been a dribs and drabs evening- left over rum, jack Daniels, cider all gone! Couple more slugs of brandy left! Then the long crawl upstairs! Im reminded of the Irish playwright Brian Friel who talks of brave warriors that marched all day into battle, only to find themselves in the pub!! God bless the Irish!! ;-)

That's just English propoganda- jealous because writing came to Ireland centuries before England and the fact that the Irish landed in America before Columbus, and the Plymouth brethren! (although after the vikings!) A poetic, inquisitive, travelling people are the irish- whimsically drawn to the classical world yet vey aware of contemporary politics! ;-)
