The Catholic church lays down strictures about what it believes you should not do, branding them as "sins" but apparently many things do not apply to their own hierachy. It is quite permissible to deny nourishment to a child, a baby even, deny it medical treatment and in the last, deny it even a proper burial. It's perfectly OK to just dispose of cadavers in a septic tank.
