Task for the weekend is to take down half of the false ceiling in my entrance hall. Why? Well, the doorbell is above the ceiling and now, instead of going "RIIIIIIIING" it just makes a feeble, hardly audible "Plink". I either have to repair it (maybe it's stuffed up with dust) or buy a new one.

Got the ceiling down and immediately the bell started functioning correctly! Got the ceiling up again, plugged in the spotlights and they didn't work!! Took the ceiling down again and re-connected a loose wire. That's as far as I've got so far.

Gathering up the tools and supplies I need to go snipe hunting tomorrow.

Lately it appears that every errand and appointment I have gone to has been more or less a fool's errand, accomplishing little to nothing.

Tomorrow I have to go to the pain specialist to get a medical file from his office, for my Social Security Doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Now if I had that car that Gayspeak memebers are pool of funds for (since my neurologist told me don't be surprised that in two years I will have a drivers license - which now is 1 year 21 months let - better make it snappy GS - time is running out) my errands for the day would be rapidly accomplished.

But, alas, I am a victim of the mass transportation system here in Albuquerque - and apparently I'm not sacrificing a sufficient number of black chickens to appease the gods of Public Transportation, since in the past two weeks I have managed to get on 4 buses that broke down before getting me to my next bus stop.

So as soon as I get my back-pack packed, I need to go outside and sacrifice a black chicken or three to speed up the whole 'getting my errands done' process for tomorrow.

Apparently my sacrifice wasn't all to pleasing unto the Lords of Transportation, today the bus I was on died - but only three blocks from my stop. I consider it a warning shot across the bow...

Since my SS doctor appointment is at 1 pm, I will make certain to leave at 6 am - just in case I have to walk the whole 5+ miles.
