Anyone raised to believe Revelation was real?

REMEMBER: I'm trying to figure out how they (those who accept Revelation as both literal and immanent) think. I just want to understand how their minds work this out.

I'm short on time so maybe I'll return some other time. But, in short, Why seek to do the impossible? What's the pay off? The collective "how they think" is a farce, a sham, a convenient distraction that begats denominations and sects. The shear inability to have total agreement on the matter will not stupefy nor encourage...so why?
