Five Questions
1.- Do you know what's in the food you eat, on a general basis, at least at a macromolecular level?
No and generally don't care. The motto I live by is everything in moderation. If you binge on certain items or always eat junk or whatever than naturally it's not going to be great for you. I enjoy treats when I can, cook from scratch when I can and have a varied menu throughout the week. For me food is a great pleasure in life and I just enjoy what I want.
2.- What drives you simply insane about someone you like?
That it's not meant to be.
3.- What would bother you about a partner but that is not a deal breaker?
Highlighting my faults
4.- How thorough and frequent are you with house cleaning?
I clean as I go. A leftover from my chef days and past housemate.
5.- Do you enjoy watching people and notice patterns of behavior in them?
It's okay but I'd rather spend time with friends, and I quickly pick up patterns/idiosyncratices in others

Thumper the rabbit... I'm really sad now, he was crushed by a car while he was sick... took me a long time to get over his death.

2) If you could tell your 17 year old self two things, what would they be?

oow... to not listen to what your parents say, and to be yourself, don't let others try to dictate your life with their own bullshit beliefs... that's about it

3) Do you own anything that someone else would throw away, but you keep for sentimental reasons?

1.-How much do you want to punch anyone at this moment?
I'd say a 1.5 out of 10
2.- Do you use the wall as an outlet for your anger?
No
3.- How many coins are there in your vicinity right now?
A very much. There's this old box I empty my pockets into when I get home and the lid won't shut at the moment which means it needs taking to the bank.
4.- Could you buy any kind of sandwich with them?
I could buy a week's sandwiches... Probably more.
5.- Would you bike down your stairs?
Not with my dodgy shoulder.

1) Who do you feel was the most inspiring person to you in your teens?

My dad. He worked (and still does) incredibly long hours in a very demanding field, but always made time for me. I realize now how tired he must have been when I would be struggling with questions especially about our religion (we are non-Christian). But he would listen, always allow and encourage me to question even when it was late a night before bed or during dinner. It never mattered, he would listen and let me question. He also encouraged me to search out Taoism. We’re still very close.

2) If you were single for more than ten years, would this bother you?

No, I enjoy my space and my solitude so being by myself is actually ok with me. I don’t think being single is a negative.

3) What's your most precious or impactful memory of nature or the environment?

Gosh, so many. Growing up I loved the whole concept of raising tadpoles. The frog life cycle just amazed me. Watching their little legs sprout and the tiny little creatures growing and hopping away. I drove my mother crazy with my buckets. lol.
Recently it was a couple of nights before the winter solstice. Some fireflies put on an incredible show for me. Smile

4) Who do you see very little of that you wish you could see more of?

Butterflies and fireflies. (But if the 'who' is suppose to be a person, my little sister.)

5) If you could open your hand to find anything in it right now, what would be in it?

The diamond to my mother’s engagement ring. A broken prong caused the stone to fall out when I was a kid, we looked everywhere but never did find it. I wanted so much to find it for her. My dad did have the diamond replaced but she still talks about it.

Really enjoyed thinking about your questions, Ian. Good questions. Thanks Smile

1. What is your idea of a romantic evening?
It'd be romantic to listen to a guy share his passions, to learn something together, or to create something together. Walking through the park, or down the boardwalk, or sitting on a bench on a busy street and making observations about life, people, and the city. All that sounds romantic to me.

2. What/where is the most beautiful place you've ever been?

I havent been many places, and I'm relatively easily awed. I do think one of the most beautiful places I like to go to is the promenade in Brooklyn Heights.

3. Do you have a pivotal moment in your life that you feel has influenced who you are as a person?

There are three days that come to mind. It interesting to me to think that they were such negative days too, but they definitely influenced me in major ways. Ill have to think about what a positive pivotal moment might be... and also why its the negative examples that all come to mind first.

4. What's your favorite time of day and why?
4am. Im not often awake to experience it, but its exciting to be up and active when so many other people are asleep. Its quiet, peaceful.. but with a nervous energy. The tranquility is about to be shattered. That intrigues me.

5. Do you hold grudges?
I try my best not to. And I wouldn't make it obvious or apparent to the person. But I do.

1. What is an object or an experience you will never have again?
A Christmas like 1997.
2. If you had to take a community worker job, what sort of job would you take?
Cooking for homeless.
3. What was the last thing you drew?
A bike.
4. What does your handwriting look like? Describe it or post a picture of it.
It's very curvy and clear and people pick up on it. In my school years my handwriting was scruffy. Then I got a job in a cafe and they paid someone to write on the chalkboards. I said I'd do it and I concentrated on writing beautifully. It just became my natural handwriting in the end.
5. Do you feel positive or negative about the year ahead?
Very, very positive. I have three goals (driving, home, love life) and work continues to go really well. I also feel like I can deal with any negative stuff that comes my way better than in years past.

To you:
1) Name something you did as a child or teen that you dreaded telling your parents.
2) If you were transported back to Monday this week, what three things (if any) would you change?
3) If you went missing, who do you think would be the first person to notice?
4) What's the next date you're really looking forward to, and why?
5) Are you happy right now?
