If you are interested in volunteering AND travel, follow the link. There have been a number of opportunities to visit foreign countries whilst volunteering your time. Now there is an LGBT centric organization offering such opportunities.
Maybe not totally gay centric in the opportunities they offer, but as a start up this could be promising.
