Disenchanted Wrote:Hi! Well, I'm not very good at introductions...
I am a very chill, laid-back guy! Looking to get some advice, and hopefully make some friends.
I was an exchange student in Michigan a few years back, and came back to visit MI and Chicago in 2011. Still looking foward to a chance of coming back, or studying abroad again! I'm not currently studying because I haven't decided what I really want to do.
I don't have a coming out story because my parents let me know at an early age that it would be fine no matter what sexuality I ended up being.

Hi everyone!

I can relate to the the part I bolded in your reply. Before I was aware I was gay --at age 13-- I slipped up and said something to my brother and he figured it out and told my parents. They had already thought about it and so they were cooler about it than I was until I FINALLY decided I was in love with a guy and stopped trying to find out what I was. They've been really supportive and great about it.

That's kinda what happened to me! At 14 I was also in love with a guy and finding out if I was really gay, and I guess my parents knew about it and just went along with it. Were you mad at your brother for snitching, though? Laugh
