New to Forum: Need serious advice

I was born and raised in a country where gayism is not only considered taboo but also criminal. I am well educated and have a bright future in my native country but I can't be sexually satisfied if I saty here..... [emoji21]

So your choices are:

1. Run away.

2. Stay and play hetero.

3. Fight back.

I gave you a lecture on your other thread on the change potentials...That would be option 3 here.

No one else can make this choice for you.

I gave up a lot when I came out of the closet... I had 'the life plan' which wasn't going to include being gay, and then I had gay and lover.

I opted to forget 'the life plan' and opted for the gay and the lover.

Whilst that last didn't end well, I never regretted my choice. I have had a pretty decent life - a little wreckless here and there, a few ups and downs - but by and large I cannot fathom what life would have been like had I just decided to hide being gay and play the Straight Man for a whole life in order to fit into the role of main character for 'the life plan'.

Ironically, as I pointed out in American Gay History 101 (the answer I gave in the other thread) Today I could go back and redo The Life Plan because now being gay isn't the terrible sin that it was 20+ years ago.

But I have done too much living and have gotten real comfortable with being the me that I am than the me I could have been....

Such is life.

Congratulations on your remarkable struggle and achievements. I guess I really need that kind of motivation to make my life worth living

Well thanks...

My point was to point out that if we don't follow our life plan it may not be a bad thing...

I don't know how it would work out for you.

Others here have tried the straight life, married had kids, stayed in the closet until their 40's type of thing.... You would have to get their opinion on how that works out.

I'm sure for those who have kids that the kids are the most precious thing they got out of that life and have no regrets there.... I cannot say how the rest went for them.

I was just trying to give some perspective of how making life choices do not have to be a regret.
