hi everyone just joined gayspeak and am looking forward to conversing with everyone. I live in Cardiff and my interests are reading and creative writing. I did a sociology and psychology degree in London and have just applied to be a councellor for drugaid. Meanwhile i spend my time doing creative writing courses and reading as much as i can. Its kind of hard moving back here from London cos the gay scene is not as full on and its harder to meet like minded people. The reason i want to work for drugaid is ive had substance misuse problems myself in the past and want to pass on some of what ive learnt to other people. I guess i would describe myself as shy though i have been a lot more cofident in the past, have lost some of that and would like to get it back. Am 37 have blond hair and blue eyes and love socialising and meeting new people

Hello and welcome sparky (I work with a sparky - and he's gay - this could confuse me, I am blonde!!)

Cardiff may not have the gay scene but you do have the filming of Dr Who and Torchwood - what more do you want than David Tenninch and John Barrowman on your doorstep (or preferably in my bedroom along with eve myles and billie piper!!)
