If Scotland gains independence, many are asking what will England and Wales be called since it will no longer be the United Kingdom. Someone has suggested "Former United Kingdom" but that has very obvious disadvantages. What would you call it?

It could still be called the UK because of Wales and Nothern Ireland. If one State in the USA left the USA, it would still be the United States of America.
Anyway the Scots will vote no and Alex Salmond will finally have to belt up and then maybe this country can get on with what really is important.

I hope you're right.

How about just "England and Wales", like Serbia and Montenegro used to be called.
