Ok, Virge, let's put that wood to work. New Englanders revere cedar shakes for siding and roofing because the last and are insect resistant. Easy enough to patch and replace when necessary, too.

If you happen to cook on a wood fired stove, you may want to look up some cedar for cooking your biscuits in a nice hot oven.

Cedar shavings can be very handy for starting fires, too.
