Marriage equality just won a HUGE battle!!!!

I wasn't using it as a label. It's the reality of Texas politics, and these marriage bans are almost exclusively GOP-hatched/enforced. Hence why it's particularly sweet when they're forced to allow our relationships to be put on an equal level with theirs.

No problemo. The marriage ban up here came from fundamentalists. Not one person running in the last election made a statement on it while campaigning cuz they are all embarrassed by the fundies and want nothing to do with them -- even the fundies running for office avoided talking about gay marriage if you can believe that.

That's great. Florida is so populous that now 70% of Americans live in a marriage-equality state. It was ~30% a year ago!
