I'm using a Canon T5I DSLR. I started with a basic Canon ELPH500 that I've had for 5 years or more. You may notice a huge jump in quality from my first video compared to the newer ones.

You're looking to do videos?

It was offered when I was younger lol. I definitely have an interesting video to make talking about getting scouted for porn/'modeling' one day.

My college degree is in (computer) multimedia, so graphics/audio/video. I'm always messing around with something along those lines.

Here I was mainly looking for better picture lighting for my 70d, but video isn't out of the realm of possibility and it apparently has that feature. I would have to have an idea for a useful and/or funny video though. There are far too many useless+boring videos on the Internet as it is :p (Obviously yours are useful!)

And +1 for Boldness to Rareboy haha.

You should be schooling me then!

If you're curious what I use:

This is the light stand, socket mount and difuser umbrella
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000GX48...ge_o03_s00

I use this to make the 1 bulb socket 4
http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00JCPJW...ge_o04_s00

and 2 of these:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00CLHF...UTF8&psc=1

I'd get 2 more but the mount cant hold the weight of the bulbs. plus 1400W of light is a bitttt much. I've used the same lighting setup for photos too. few links if you're curious on results

And the student becomes the master! :p

It was a 2-year program and had a fair amount of web design stuff so it wasn't specifically for this. Many of the topics were just a single class. You are surely learning more because you're actually doing it Smile

Thanks for the links. I'll check them out.

Ah that makes sense. Yeah with using a DSLR I'm glad I've done a basic crashcourse in photography. I mess up alll the time but it's helped a million times over as I can fix most of my problems.

In a perfect world I'd use 3 point lighting but nobody got time for that.
