Ick, no Duck Dynasty for me. If there must be facial hair, I like close-cropped or stubble on anyone taking me to bed. I guess that goes for all body hair. I want to taste skin, not fur.
Some days I think that I have the beard because I enjoy playing with the little cordless trimmer. I use it without a guard to trim under my chin and with a guard to shape the beard. It does not have to be done daily, though I do touch up the upper lip with a scissors about every other day. Thus the whole thing is easier than shaving and simpler to maintain than a smooth face, which is, in my case, ugly anyway.
This thread just reminds me of my intrinsic inability to grow any kind of semblance of facial hair.
I suppose the only plus side is that I have that little bit extra sleep in because I don't have to shave and I can rest assured there won't be food stains on my facial hair ... just on my actual face as normal.
