eye examination and lasers
#21
It is indeed interesting to know and wise to screen for problems in advance. As a diabetic, I have a thorough eye exam yearly, but they have never mentioned any scans such as you do.

these tests aren't covered by the insurance (at least not yet). it's coming out of your own pocket. (although this should be dependent on where you're located, you can check it out).

also, i would imagine the access also depends on where you're located and exactly what your medical needs are, and your doctor. unless conventional eye examination proves to be non-definitive your doctor might not see a need for this procedure. and you might not even know about this technological possibility unless you do your own homework. i only found out because i checked out all the eye clinics/ophthalmologists in my area.
