This is a support site after all, so it´s only natural, that things tend to stay in good manner so to speak. No harm done...

I was only joking, of course, but I don't think of Gayspeak as a support site. I think of it as a site that promotes discussion on gay topics, most often by gay men. That includes "support" but also includes politics, religion, porn, gossip, rants, and a host of other slices of life.

This isn't the thread for a serious discussion, but some tend to think of GS too often as an infirmary or an advice-to-the-lovelorn site, both of which can reduce the expectation of just having fun lots of the time.

I think that's rather short sighted.

I have a (hectic busy) job. A family. Friends. A BF. A house and yard I (help) take care of. A cat, Hobbies, shopping, errands, doctor apts., ... AND I manage to squeeze in visits here. From your point of view it may LOOK like I live here, but really my being here is only a small facet of my day - often popping in and out as I have time between all the other stuff.

It's a fun part of my life, but that doesn't mean it's my life. My co-workers probably would find it a bit offputting to have me ask "who wants to take off the gargoyle's loincloth?", so it's probably good for their sake that I found a place to do it online.
