Gamping--Gay Camping!
#31
Just be glad that you aren't with someone like me... I enjoy WINTER camping ( yes, I live in Maine). On a nice sunny 30 degree day there is nothing like a refreshing dip in the river to wash up. That is if you can find a place that isn't frozen over. Of course, I recommend a double sleeping bag to stay warm with your partner at night. ;-)

JCasey - Winter camping ...now that's hardcore Smile , I do love camping and have a heater for when it really drops cold but im not sure I'd tackle camping in the snow - I do have a brilliant Vaude sleeping bag though that's kept me toasty warm for years now- im dreading replacing it in case I don't find the same quality again

I'm sure that if you search you'll find some places in your neck of the woods too.

I grew up camping like reaper and my BF's mindset is more that it's considered "camping" if you have to re-enter the wifi password every time you return to the hotel room. However, we reached common ground--at least conceptually--with one of these:

Watching for a used one with the features we want (the dormers are an optional extra, and at 6' he didn't consider them optional!).

matty7, what I forgot to mention is that once inside your sleeping bag you sleep nude and with your head inside to allow the heat to circulate more fully. Nobody ever said being gay had to make one a wimp. LOL

I miss camping...haven't gone in almost five years... long story short, the one place I wanted to go camping again kept having some issues. alas, it seems like it will have to wait until 2016 again
