After how long did you move in together? And how much time did you spend together beforehand? How old were you and the other person? Did you "move in" (one person already has a place and the other is coming) or did you "get a place together" (both find a place together and split rent)?
Curious how some people are

I'm a : Single Gay Man

My husband and I moved-in together as soon as we were able to be stationed together (we were both in the military). And at the same time that we moved-in together, we also got a joint checking account and had both our checks automatically deposited each payday. We became one unit almost immediately, and 40 years later,,, we are still one unit. We met in 1975 when I was 19, and he was 39.
Whatever we buy,, whether it be a car or a house,,, we buy it jointly (both names on the title). We have never squabbled over money (lucky us)............

We met online in November.
We made the relationship sexual/romantic in February.
We finally met in person in April.
We met twice more in person - once in May, once in June.
In July, he moved 2000 miles to Colorado, and we got a place together.
That was 17 years ago.

In the beginning of July my boyfriend will be moving into my apartment. We will have been together for 6 months at that time. Then once my lease is up here we may move to another place.
We spend most of our time together. It's rare for him to not sleep here.

My husband and I met when I was 16 and he was already 18. We dated for a year before moving in together. We started by renting a very small mill house with 4 rooms so I could work part time and go to school and he became a truck driver. After another year of being together we bought our first home together and in 2009 we bought a second home together which is the one we live in now. We have always done things as a couple with everything from our checking accounts, savings, retirement, insurance, vehicles, houses, etc we act as one and it has worked for the last 12 years but different strokes for different folks. I know many married couples that split bills down the middle after 20 years of marriage lol.
