Virge Wrote:Maybe some of both. Before Ray and I met we were both into "tricking" - a mix of martial arts, gymnastics, and dancing. In the marines we did it a lot together. He teaches it to kids through the Rapid City Recreation now and is getting up a team. I've been playing around some at it when I go and see the kids Ray works with. I need to practice more than a little bit but have a month. I'm making the LAST long road trip leaving in the morning and coming back Wednesday real early... so I'll have a whole month to get back into form.

here's a video if you don't know what tricking is.
Ray is in this 3 times real quick towards the beginning and once towards the end in a dark blue tank top.

I just watched a few videos. That's some crazy shit. They make it look so easy. I bet there are a lot of liability waivers that need to be signed by parents at the rec center. Lol!

View the video again and count the casts, crutches and ace bandages. There are none. No injured guys on the sidelines. Amazing huh? Sure everyone gets hurt once in awhile but never seriously. Most injuries from tricking happen away from the gyms where noobies trying to show off do things they're ready for. When I started doing it at 15 all I had was some youtube tutorials from guys from my age up to 18. Most kids who start tricking have already gotten training in martial arts which is a big help. Still, without more than videos to learn from, I stayed hurt most the time because I was always attempting things I wasn't ready to do but I survived. I didn't even have anyone else to practice with. There's still a spot in my parents' den where I was showing off at 16 and put my foot in the ceiling.

a chemical solution that removes varnish, paint, etc., from a surface.

???? God your man is cruel, calls you a chemical solution.... I'd quit that and get a real man.
