I'm not sure whether you meant the others joined in in Welsh or in some kind of flame war ...? My partner, princealbertofb, is quite likely to quiz you on points of Welsh vocabulary and grammar. Be warned Wink

Last week I was chatting on MSN with a contact in China and Albert was asking him questions in Mandarin. He exchanges messages in Greek with Spotysocks ... our dinner parties are something else. He'll be switching from French to Spanish, to German, to English and sometimes to Italian to speak to our guests in their first languages.

One of his recently retired work colleagues asked the following last Saturday:
Q: What do you call a person who speaks three languages?
A: Tri-lingual
Q: What do you call a person who speaks two languages?
A: Bi-lingual
Q: What do you call a person who speaks one language only?
A: English

Regretably my Welsh is limited to a couple of children's songs. I'd love to know more.
