The Game Changers....usually when a song was hot..you get 10000 more in a row with the same basic formula.....and when you work in a dance club every night..it gets tiring..so these songs were ones that were really different at the time..and changed it up ...made it nice to listen to new stuff.....
1977 ..... Brainstorm - Lovin' Is Really My Game (This video...First time I ever saw them perform..heard this a zillion times though)
1977 ... Santa Esmerelda - Don t Let Me Be Misunderstood (I hated this song initially because I liked the original..but I got used to it)
1976 .... The Trammps - Disco Inferno
1977...Thelma Houston - Don't Leave Me This Way (REALLY POPULAR..played every night for years)
1975 ... Teddy Pendergrass - Don't Leave Me This Way (The first version...and my favorite of the 3...all were played a lot...but Teddy could fuck me with his voice ...or even if he was silent  )
1986 ...Communards - Don't Leave Me This Way (Decent remake)
1975 ...Shirley & Company - Shame Shame Shame (Fabulous)
1977 ... First Choice - Doctor Love (LOVE THESE GIRLS!!!! They were very popular at gay venues)
1973 ... First Choice - Armed and Extremely Dangerous (How can I pick just one? )
I saw a bunch of pictures of old friends my age at parties with a lot of the peole who are singing in this thread.,..including these ones....
I keep wondering if I would kinda like to go...It looks like fun in the pics and it would be kinda cool to meet some of them and hang out...gay parties and clubs ....I kinda miss it.....and they all seem to be my age LOL
1978...Pattie Brooks - After Dark
1981 ....Phyllis Nelson - Don't Stop The Train
1979 ...Phyllis Hyman - You Know How To Love Me (and I loved her....a lot. It sucked when she committed suicide..one of the factors was when she spent time in the hospiital with some of her gay friends..it depressed her and also she was upset none of the family came for so many of them...I "get" it...and I was sad when she left the building. A lot of Gay Men loved her)
1980 ...Viola Wills - If You Could Read My Mind (VERY POPULAR...for a long tiem..in pretty much every club)
1980 .....Geraldine Hunt .... Can't Fake The Feeing
I had the pleasure of growing up in the 70s and 80s. I can remember quite vividly me and my friends listening to the likes of ABBA, Donna Summer, Patti LaBelle, The Bee Gees, and more. In the 80s it was The Pet Shop Boys, Alphaville, Culture Club and Elton John. Love reliving the memories!
