Has anyone ever been to a hush concert?

Basically it's a concert with a dj where the entire crowd wears headphones to hear the music. From afar you see a huge group of silent people dancing, but you hear nothing. My brother saw one in San Francisco on the beach a couple of weeks ago. He was far enough away that he couldn't tell what was going on other than a big silent crowd moving similarly. He was creeped out until he figured out what it was.
