I promise to go to an Optometrist to have blinkers opened - as soon as you have the Tin-foil removed from your head by a competent professional (smile)

Any computer wizard can know pretty much everything about pretty much anyone outside of north korea. The government watching my in/outgoing bit traffic is the least of my worries. What worries me is our increasing population and our increasing consumption and wastefulness.

I don't know what you've got going on or why it bothers you to have the government peeking over your shoulder, but I'm confident breathable air takes priority over whatever it may be.
The fact that you can write your concerns here shows a great level of freedom.
In my opinion I'm sufficiently free to worry more about clean drinking water for my grand children, than harmless spyware on my desktop.
