Car with disappearing doors

Initially this seems quite a good idea but I see tha it needs a minimun of 6" ground clearance. Imagine if there were some sort of obstacle that you hadn't noticed. Big repair bill for dents and scratches I imagine.

If you put these doors on a city car, you won't be able to drive it in areas with bumps and other road obstacles, so there won't be any damage. If you put them on a pickup truck, it's already higher by default.
