Circumcision as genital mutilation.

There are plenty more articles on the Internet.

Thanks Londoner. I did know that foreskin restoration was possible, but it isn't exactly the same as having the original model. I would have the beauty of an uncut, but not the same physical sensation. I know, I know, foreskin beggars can't be chewers...um...choosers. Wink

*Considers. Pulls out the front of his pants and looks down at his dick, considering it for a few minutes. Yes... minutes. Then shakes his head with a shrug.*

I get it, I guess? But the fact is? I'm circumcised, and I like my dick. I like how it looks, how it works, and just entirely how it feels in general. I don't see it as mutilated.

That said? If I was uncircumcised? I'd probably feel the same way about my dick as I do now. So in my case, I guess it doesn't really matter to me either way.

Foreskins are used in many medical treatments. For example, my mother has been treated with a skin graft created from baby foreskins. From what the doctor said, 5 foreskins is enough to cover an entire football field in the solution made from them to treat wounds. My mother has had a wound on her leg caused by an accident for over two years. It wouldn't heal and because of her extremely low healing rate, it was dangerous to try and harvest a skin graft from her own skin to try and force it to heal. This treatment has worked for her, and after 2 years, she is finally beginning to heal.

I like your dick just as it is, man. Though as you say, if weren't cut, I'm sure I'd be just as pleased. It's perfect either way.

Undoubtedly the most sensible and practical viewpoint Twist, and easily the healthiest for one's self-esteem.

Inevitably the two of you make me feel all warm and fuzzy. I guess I'm just a romantic a heart...

The doctor got paid for doing the circumcision, then someone sold the foreskin, thereby making double profit. The transplant patient profited and that's a good thing. Did anyone set up a college trust fund for the little guy who seems to be the only one not benefiting from his "contribution"?

Again, let's not miss the point. It's great that some people can benefit from surgical progress to heal when they had trouble healing, but that is not the point we are trying to make. It's also fine for a circumcised man to reckon that his penis is working well enough, and is giving him enough satisfaction, and hopefully he will find it pleasing to look at and use, but the point is that (as Darius points out) the infant or the little boy who lost his foreskin without giving consent to the mutilation is doubly robbed. It would be fine for donors to consider giving their foreskins as one donates any other organ, and why not? But here the child's right is being totally ignored. If someone ablated one of your organs or cut your finger without asking for your consent, you'd all be up in arms (and I mean weapons, not limbs).
Of course if we're going to consider very young human tissue, is it therefore inconceivable to use the cells from a still born baby or babies who don't live very long once they're born? I know it sounds awful and totally unethical. Would parents find it ethical to donate their baby's bodies to science? How many do? How many would find it sacrilegious?
