insane three days of EDM

Cuddly Wrote:I like EDM, but I don't think I could handle it for 3 days! That has to be exhausting.

there are drugs to help with that, if that is something you're open to. it is a rave scene, after all. i was clean this time, except for some minor alcohol intake, but i'm also so used to the scene that i could've done it 100% sober. besides, you don't have to see every artist there.

i don't want to quote unconfirmed numbers, but according to some sources there were more than 90,000 people visiting the festival altogether. that's what they've rounded the total up to. but it's a composite number of all the people for the whole three days. the maximum number that was in attendance at once was definitely less than that.

I have heard of most of those DJ's or have something by them especially Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren and of course David Guetta, but had no idea of a festival like this. I would love to go to something like this. Of course I would probably be the oldest one there! Love EDM!

this type of thing isn't unusual in Europe. there was the famous Loveparade in Berlin that was active since 1989! i think everyone's heard of that one. and Loveparade's peak attendance was 1.6 million people in 2008! then there's Tomorrowland, in Belgium, held annually; and its American offshoot TomorrowWorld in Chattahoochee Hills, GA (which is coming to you guys on the other side of the Atlantic in September). Showtek, Tiesto, Buuren, Guetta, and Garrix are represented:

there are people of all different ages that go to these raves. while the average festival guest is college-age, there are lots of guys in 30s, 40s, and even 50s there too. and TomorrowWorld has even instated a 21+ policy to attract a more mature crowd.
