Rant - moveing to Canada - politicians

Well.
This whole Kim Davis thing is RIDICULOUS.
cruz said this
“For the first time, we’re seeing a Christian thrown in jail for standing up for her faith,” Cruz told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly. “I’ll tell you, I stand with Kim Davis unequivocally. I stand with her or anyone else the government is trying to persecute for standing up for their faith.”

Im a registered independent voter and I think our last two Presidents were the worst in history, (mostly due to two things, PATRIOT, and PRISM).

*This is for the politicians not registered voters!* Big Grin ive listened to very honest and intelligent people from both sides!
I decided im voting in neither party, democrats aren't "transparent" (or honest) enough and the republicans well dishonest AND

So that leaves me with... Trump...
HAHAHAHA yea ... right
I think Ill eat my vote assuming its non digital.
in either case I think I give up keeping track of politics, just gets worse and worse both sides need a boot and the average joe cant afford to run so dorks like Trump got a shot...
maybe Arnold will be the Presidenator next go round. xD oi vey politicians .. /rant off/

East... im voteing for you Big Grin run for president! Smile

I am an Independent as well...too liberal/socialist for either party....and I will be voting strictly Democrat on a national level no matter who they run with complete awareness and eyes wide open that they bow to the same power gods and puppet masters that the Republicans do...

Why?

It matters to me who will be appointing the Supreme Court Justices. YUP..that's all it is for me now. ...and the Democrats win by a landslide...

Oh yeah..neither Bush nor Obama ever fooled me...they were both exactly who I thought they were.....

In my lifetime...the only President I ever really loved was Carter...and the only one I ever really hated was Reagan.

I think it's funny that Jeb Bush spent money to make an add against Trump. I don't know how safe Cananda is though, according to the rumors Ted Cruz is Canadian. :p

It always worries me that someone like Cruz will somehow get elected,,, but,,, the craziest ones get weeded out in the end. Don't pay them no mind. Cruz won't be a candidate much longer.

Crossing fingers & hoping sanity prevails again.

“For the first time, we’re seeing a Christian thrown in jail for standing up for her faith,” Cruz told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly.

Dear Mr. Cruz,

Please read the New Testament carefully and then make a public retraction.

Thank you.

Sorry but if no one with any common fucking sense decides to run for president, I'm not going to vote in this election. Every single person running right now is bat shit crazy and I can't even believe they are actual Americans. You would think a lot of these ultra religious candidates are running for president of some repressive third would country with some of their bullshit rhetoric.

But that's just my opinion........

I am with East on this election. I would much prefer Bernie Sanders instead of Hillary (No more political dynasties; Go Bernie, Go!), but regardless, we cannot afford another conservative SCOTUS Judge replacing Ruth B/G.

The GOP field of candidates is absolutely appalling! Imagining a nation where ANY ONE of those fools were elected.....<shudder>...just too frightening to think about....

When I was younger, I was so disgusted by the entire CONCEPT of politics that I didn't vote....until I realized that not voting is, essentially, abstaining from participating in the democracy that my grandfathers fought to keep for me. The same one that just gave me the right to marry. The one that makes the best promise for equality.....

I've been voting Democrat, often holding my nose, because while I'm not Democrat, the Republicans have been terrifying me the last few years. The only thing more scary than their saying the most outrageous, hateful, and absurdly wrong things to a cheering crowd is their saying that and still getting elected.

And the viciousness the crowds would display is bad, too. To Ron Paul's credit, while he defended his position on the government's role in healthcare he did scold the audience who CHEERED at the thought of someone who didn't have insurance being left to die in a hospital (but the more mainstream politicians didn't say anything about it), and that's just one example of the sheer hatred wafting off them. It's not the philosophy (a tough ethical philosophy but I can understand the reasoning) that bothers me, but the JOY they took in the thought of someone dying. I've heard some say they didn't like certain candidates because they weren't "angry" (ie, hateful/vengeful) enough.

I used to correspond via email with people from South Africa and Argentina and even they would email at times to ask if a US politician REALLY said this or if their media was lying to them because it was so insane and their own politicians would never get away with it. And it was invariably true and the politician invariably a Republican. That even people in those countries was gobsmacked by it was a testament on how crazy that party has gotten.

Not just them, I personally know registered Republicans who can't stand what the party has become, and either refuse to vote or vote third party! I've seen signs that plenty of Republicans are fed up (for example, I saw a news article of the Christian Right threatening to leave the Republican Party if the Party gave up on the fight against gay marriage and a lot of comments were "good riddance" by self-identified Republicans blaming the Christian Right for what crap their party had become with hundreds of thumbs up, though of course plenty still will vote Republican). I wish I could recall the name of a major Republican decades ago (I believe he worked with Nixon and Reagan) who warned that if they don't kick the Christian Right out now that it would be a disaster and predicted that the Republican Party would become something toxic...something pretty much like today!

I recently saw a news article of some major GOProud figure finally say "I give up, we can't change them."

So I know I'm not alone. I really want it so that their obnoxious attitudes and words are political suicide! Because if it's not then our society is in big trouble.

That said, it annoys me to no end to vote for people I usually don't support as that gives the illusion of support when in fact I'm voting AGAINST rather than FOR (a significant difference). And I know I'm not the only one that's sick of how elections work in the USA.

Btw, not too long ago I saw some YT clips on JFK speeches and debates. Damn, why can't we get politicians like that today (intelligent, rational, classy, and even seem to believe what they're saying)? (Though the cynical part of me thought upon seeing those vids, "No wonder he was killed.") And watching JFK speeches I knew that FOX News would roast him alive and paint him as the Antichrist with almost as much fervor as they do against Obama (but then O'Reilly and their ilk would be no match for JFK who'd easily cut through crap and not get distracted by their tactics).
