yeah, i saw that after i'd already posted. and if it was deliberate it was in bad taste. both the 23 and 'two minus one' attempt.

one could argue the reporter meant to imply the bride left the guy because he downsized to 17 rather than upsize to 23, for example. both are wrong answers and should be considered equally wrong, but there's an implication there that adding up to a bigger number would have made for a better answer, albeit still a wrong one.
