Awful poetry
#1
Is it death whispers in my ear
When i hear your words
wrapped in the closeness of fear?
Consolation of kisses is like a sweet poison.
We've never been in this place before ,
in this dark place where desperation smiles to love
with condescension of cold blooded killer.

i like it. it's good.

i would add a couple of modifications for a better rhythm though:

Gaveston Wrote:Is it death that whispers in my ear
When i hear your words
wrapped in the closeness of fear?
Consolation of kisses is like a sweet poison.
We've never been in this place before,
in this dark place where desperation smiles to love
with the condescension of a cold-blooded killer.
''Do I look civilized to you?''

That's actually pretty good, and I once went to poetry readings where that would've been greatly appreciated.

But ever been to a bad poetry contest? Those can be hilarious, and done intentionally can show cleverness as much as silliness.

Here's an example of a very bad poem (that I hope was made for a laugh, I certainly laughed, those last two lines always make me laugh, I laughed out loud again just now):

The baying sound echoes through my blood.
I have heard the call of the Hound.
As in a nightmare, I run from that sound!
My bravery vanishes in fear’s flood.
Whence come the hounds? In what cave do they lair?
Why have they chosen me, I who was brave?
What will become of me now, as fear’s slave?
Will I live until morning to breathe light air?
They will never leave, for they lodge in my dreams.
I know they’ll devour me, leaving only my screams.
