Selfie Madness: Too Many Dying to Get the Picture
#11
Probably less than 10 pictures of me even exist which is pretty good for being 58. I allowed one to be taken when I was 58 just because I wanted to see one side by side when I was 18 and check out what actually happens in 40 years LOL...

I refuse to learn how to use the camera or video on the phone...not interested.

I have noticed some people are completely fascinated by their own image....taking pictures 24/7 of themselves and then putting them online.... whatever works I guess....

People like to take risks. It's hard to really consider the fact that you might die. It's like, "I haven't died before so I probably won't die if I do this." The problem is that, if you had died before, you wouldn't be here to think, "I haven't died before so blah blah blah." Risk taking is hard to resist. E.g. last year, I saw steam coming off a hob on the cooker (this was an electric cooker so there was no flame) so I decided to press my hand down against it. I instantly regretted it because I got burned but the urge was too strong and I would have been wondering about that hob for years to come, otherwise.

In that article it said someone took a selfie with a lion lol , if it wasn't a selfie that got people like him killed then some other equally dumb stunt would have claimed him anyway - I swear someone took a shit in the gene pool and people like these are the result

I've taken selfies here and there. Picture on my profile I took for Grindr one time or something. I have a few on my Facebook I took with my webcam at the time. And I've taken others for a girl I dated for a short time. I am glad to say that I have never put myself in harms way to take a photo of myself. I also, can not understand the phenomenon of constantly taking pictures of yourself. You're a narcissist, we get it. Move along..
So lost in your addiction
The solemn comfort of your grave
If you close your eyes the light can't take it away

Reach back behind your pride
And pull the thorn from the burning pain in your side

I don't take selfies unless I have to.

I'm about as photogenic as a moody teenager experiencing a breakout of acne.

Someone on another forum I frequent is like that. Probably the member whom I get along the worst with.

I just don't get it. Especially as he has a habit of aggravating, and in turn, being aggressive towards other people on the site.
Does he really want share pictures of himself with his family in such an environment?
*shrugs*
More power to him I guess.
