Homophobia
#1
I know people have made threads about this before and many of you have discussed this before, i just want to say what happened to me today.

In work i was at the counter (i work in a bookmakers) i was called a little queer by a regular customer and this same customer said your gay a week ago. A few weeks ago another customer started singing references to being gay to me in the middle of the shop.

Whether i am or i am not i think its wrong for people to voice things like that whether for a joke or not in any context. I am there to take bets and type them up, not to take crap.

It actually made me a little upset, i had to text a few people while in work just to vent about it and my workmate who i get along with fantastically said i am better than that and should ignore it.

I cannot approach my manager as i dont feel comfortable nor anyone in that company. The only person is another manager from another shop who i spoke to about it before and i may talk to her. I can take jokes and im not that way im up my self about things but there is a line.

...never mind the people who call you "gay," they are just a disturbance to your existence. x

You are better than that. What a strange thing to do, too.

Maybe I'm sheltered or just live in a good place, but this seems bizarre to me. Clearly those people are NOT worth yur time. Honestly, I would refuse them whatever service and kick them out. They have no right to insult an employee.

I hear ya man but at the least I would report it. You don't deserve to be harassed by customers for no reason.

Because they are regular they wont do shit, but i may use this special phone line to report incidents then in the even of things escalating i can show i did things about it.

Take notes. Carry a small notepad for the purpose.

18 mar 2016 Mr. Y said "You're gay." in a mocking manner
25 mar 2016 Mr. Y called me "a little queer."

Build up enough of these comments and you will have reason to present a copy of them to management and ask for relief.

I love the attention;

Guys call me fag and all sorts of other defamatory words I don't feel like translating; and I just laugh along with them!

"Yaass gurl, Um de bess' ding ya see in a long time enuh?"
[I'm the prettiest thing you've seen]

And what really kills them, is when I talk just as they do! (We have Masculine and Feminine ways of saying things)

And so : "Ya buh, um a queer, but ya gals mug enuh"
[I know I'm gay, but your girlfriend's ugly you know]

That really ruffles up them feathers, but I since last year have vowed to ease back on my mouth, cause I don't need some sensitive ass bitch who can't handle himself to dead me off.

Gurl, Stand up for yourself! Nothing I hate more than to see people allowing themselves to be picked on.

If not, buy me a ticket and I'll come in a quick minute xD
