She could run away if she wanted to. She's an outdoor dog and she's not locked up. Although she never strays from home without supervision.

Our oldest Boston Terrier will be 13 in June, she has her own little bed next to ours, but she knows I get up at 5am to go to work, so she wakes up every morning at that time. The problem is that she wakes up at that same time even on my days off, so usually I'll have to pull her up into our bed next to me and she'll sleep for another hour or so.
