I saw a clip on the news this morning. Two cops pursuing a suspect who was raging and who attempted to ram their cruiser. The cops approached with drawn guns as the suspect slumped forward. But instead of shooting him (and there are so many ugly stories about cops shooting people lately) they assessed him and pulled him out of the car. It was all caught on camera, one cop comforting him physically while the other administered Narcan. They saved his life.

GoFundMe, the world’s largest social fundraising platform in the world, has been giving away over $100,000 a month through their Gives Back program. Each company employee chooses a different campaign that they think deserves a boost for the month. Then the website donates $1,000 to that fundraiser in their honor. This month’s annual donation will land on Giving Tuesday.

Drivers of New York's iconic yellow cabs have taken a break from behind the wheel to pose for this hilarious 2017 calendar.

And the collected chaps who customers are more used to seeing from the backseat have thrown themselves into the job, pulling funny facial expressions and side-splitting poses as they lean on their vehicles.

The 2017 NYC Taxi Drivers Calendar satirises the idea of pin-up shoots - and instead of leggy female models in skimpy bikinis features middle aged cabbies with their shirts undone.

Four Dogs Who Saved Their Owners Lives



Dogs are well known as man’s best friend. They offer us unconditional support, love and loyalty but so often these four-legged heroes go largely unnoticed by anyone but their loving owners.

This is why Crufts, the world’s largest dog event, began celebrating the dog heroes that have gone above and beyond the call of duty and changed, or in many cases saved, the lives of their owners, through the Eukanuba Friends for Life competition.

The four dogs which have made the 2016 shortlist were selected by a panel of judges, including dog loving actor Martin Clunes, for their outstanding loyalty to their owners and for the way that they have irrevocably changed their lives. We are now calling for the public to vote for their favourite, with the winner being on the final day of Crufts, Sunday 13th March.

These dogs do so much for their owners and really deserve the recognition.
