I'm fairly interested as to where that dagger comes from. Certainly Egypt didn't know Iron until a very late age, after the Ramesside period (hence why they were ransacked by the Assyrians). By Tut's time, much of the Middle East knew Iron work, as for Africa, maybe the Nubian kindgoms in the Upper Nile cause they teached it to the Bantu tribes in West Africa before they expanded southwards.

Red Sea Nickel...yeah that doesn't narrow it down as much as I'd like.
