Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (Though I about ran out of the cinema near the end when I saw it at age 5.)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (For many years as an adult there was a limit my partners would allow me to drink alcohol and watch that movie because I'd start singing along) Spirited Away (If I had to choose only one, this would probably be it) Brave (Frozen and Tangled come close, I'm not sure I'd put them on "favorites' though, and I'll have to give props to Aladdin and Alice in Wonderland, but they don't fully rise to favorite despite some parts of it that never get old for me) I also loved Race to Witch Mountain enough to see the originals...hey, with actors like Donald Pleasance in the first one, and Christopher Lee in the second, how could I not? I liked the original much more than the second, though I'll stick with Race to Witch Mountain as my favorite one of that bunch. Return to Oz gave my nightmares as a child, but just seems silly as an adult. Nostalgia boosts this one to be included, however. Same for Hocus Pocus (though Bette Midler's performance saved that movie, IMO). And though Up doesn't make my favorites, I have to give them props for making one of the most touching love stories ever. And the retelling of Sleeping Beauty in the live action movie Maleficent was brilliant, IMO, adding depth and complexity to both the story and the characters in it.

For those that need a list for reference (as I did)....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wa...ures_films My favorites? Fantasia (1940) 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959) Mary Poppins (1964) Escape to Witch Mountain (the 1975 version) Pete's Dragon (the 1977 version) - [ mind your step over the 3 decade gap ] - Nightmare Before Christmas (2006) Maleficent (2014) Interestingly enough, though? My favorite Disney character is Jiminy the Cricket.

I grew up "Team Disney" as my mom is a fanatic about this stuff
*Chuckles* But I don't know that I have a -favorite- I've seen most of them countless times and some I can quote without much effort. Alice in Wonderland Peter Pan Pinnochio Jungle Book Tangled Dumbo Yeah the list is too long and pretty all inclusive(thanks Mom) And that's MY Jiminy Cricket(Pluto is not going to be happy with you, you know) |
