is there any reason why you are deliberately antagonising people?
I don't know if it is deliberate or if you are even aware of how abrasive and antagonising you are coming across with some of your insensitive and arrogant comments.
If you want to put yourself up on a pedestal as the most intelligent human being and the only one to 'know' that celebs are human too then go ahead....but be prepared for someone to knock you off that pedestal and to fall on your arse with a heavy thud.
The real intelligent people realise that celebs are humans...the real intelligent people also have enough empathy to grieve the life of a human being, celeb or not, the difference is we all have a know the celebs and some people seek solace in grieving together because it is the human part of a celeb that we identify with.
Starting a thread like this is deliberately antagonising people that are experiencing REAL grief and REAL empathy.
Your behaviour is an attempt to invalidate the people around you and what they are feeling, and will only serve to alienate you from whatever community you are trying to be a part of.

I don't understand why some people are so adverse to people grieving over celebrities. Like with anything, if you don't want to partake in the grieving because you are unaffected by it, at least allow people that are to grieve in peace, it's not like it is affecting you them doing so is it really artyboy?

Despite not actually "knowing" celebrities that pass doesn't mean that the "relationship" one has with them is any less valid. Some play roles with which we can relate, others bare their lives to us, and some are activists that become a sounding board to the very things that matter to us.
Take for example Alan Thicke - he had a TV role where he played an amazing dad. Many that lacked a father figure in their lives may have connected with the character he played, thus connecting with the celebrity.
Or how about Prince or David Bowie - music can speak to our souls and allow us to feel the emotions of the artist...we share those very emotions.
Others like Carrie Fisher or Debbie Reynolds become icons and we grow up with them being a part of our lives.
Yes, celebrities are human too - and we connect with them in a human way. They impact our lives because they can affect our lives. When one that holds a place in our heart dies, it is natural for us to grieve - to do otherwise would suggest we are losing our humanity.
