Haven't wanted to see them in film form. Reading the books was such a great adventure.

Not film versions, LJay, these are audio adaptations for the radio.

oooops! My bad.

Still, when I read a book, especially one like this one with many volumes, I form an impression of voices and characters in my mind and it is hard to hear another.

Still, it is a wonderful work and worth encoutering however one can.
