Alan Turing to appear on £50 note

For those who don't know who Alan Turing was, read the below.  His involvment in breaking the German Enigma Code is generally beleived to have shortened WWII by two years and saved at least 2 million lives.  But he was far more than that.  He was prosecuted for his sexual orientation and now he is the first gay man to appear on a British banknote.
