Vigilias is a corruption of the Latin Vigilians.

When I first used chat rooms in 1996 I made a lot of friends whom I lost touch with between splitting up with Ex II (I give them regnal/ordinal numbers to distinguish them and to avoid invoking their names!) and getting back on line I had lost touch with them all.

I was keeping an eye out or watching for these guys and Vigilians (with an "n") is the latin for "Watcher" or one who keeps watch or vigil. The typo stuck and I kept it.

A lot of people assume that the name has connotations with online gaming such as Dungeons and Dragons etc but it doesn't, at all. I dont play online games (Except with your head if you cross me sufficiently!!!)

Back in 2000 when there were a lot of anti-paedophile marches and demonstrations in the UK some people again incorrectly presumed that I was one of these Vigilantes who went on the hunt for local perverts. Again, dead wrong.
