New photos have been unveiled of ‘Fellow Travelers’, the forthcoming “sweeping romance and political suspense” featuring Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey.

The two openly gay actors are collaborating on the limited series, under the direction of Ron Nyswaner.

This innovative writer is renowned for his Academy Award-nominated script for the 1993 critically acclaimed drama Philadelphia.

Based on Thomas Mallon’s compelling 2007 novel of the same title, Fellow Travelers promises to be an enthralling combination of sweeping romance and political suspense.

Set against the backdrop of Washington during the McCarthy era, it explores the tumultuous love affair between two very different men.

The first photos from the series depict the couple frolicking romantically on the beach, and our hearts are already overflowing.

“Prepared, eager, and receptive” When the first images hit social media, fans were particularly… enthusiastic.

“Ready, willing and open,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Yes!!! Two gorgeous gay men,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, others shared their subtle reasons for looking forward to the series.

Sex scenes are power balances, according to Jonathan Bailey But it’s not just audiences who are excited about the series. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Jonathan Bailey said he can’t wait to see how people react to it.

“The subtlety of a complex, volatile gay relationship is the balance of power—and that’s what’s amazing about Tim and Hawk,” Bailey says.

“Every single sex scene is a meticulous examination of power.”

“I’ll be very interested to see how people react to it,” Jonathan Bailey continues.

“To me, being gay also means negotiating how you give your body to the other person as two men.”

“That’s something I’ve always wanted to see done properly because I know how extraordinary it is to experience it.”
