andyA Nice Indian Boy (2025)
#1
We watched this film the other day and really liked it! It's both well acted and funny! Smile

Here's the synopsis:
Naveen, a shy but loveable Indian-American doctor, is just trying to live his best life when - bam! - his family starts nudging him towards marriage. Fast forward a few years, and he’s still single, still awkward, and still dodging matchmaking attempts like a pro. But then, in a twist worthy of Bollywood itself, he meets Jay - a charming, free-spirited white guy who was adopted by Indian parents and somehow knows more about Bollywood than Naveen does.

Cue the romance, the cultural clashes, and the inevitable family introductions, where Naveen tries (and fails) to make Jay seem more “acceptable” to his traditional parents. Things go sideways when Jay accidentally gets caught using a marijuana pen in the family bathroom (because of course he does), and just when you think things couldn’t get messier - Naveen’s sister drops a bombshell of her own.

It’s got love, laughter, and enough awkward family moments to make you want to hug your own relatives in relief. Basically, if you’ve ever wanted a rom-com that mixes Bollywood dreams with modern chaos, A Nice Indian Boy is the one for you. Just be prepared for some second-hand embarrassment along the way.
