How can you hate a group of people so much that you want to use a machine gun on them, a very sad day indeed, hope they find the person responsible soon, the GLBT society there must be in fear right now

A small update-yesterday (Saturday,August 8) a huge assembly took place in Tel Aviv,in memory of the victims killed in the attack a week ago. There were about 25,000 people in the assembly, including the Israeli president,a few ministers (formerly the ministers of education and culture),politicians and singers. It is only symbolic that the assembly took place exactly where 14 years ago then Israeli prime minister Rabin was shot and killed. Israeli president,Peres, said on the stage that everyone are born equal, and each person has the right to be who he is,as long as he is abiding the law. He added that he came to shad a tear over the lives of innocent people, who did no harm to anyone, and that the murdered will be brought to justice for his crimes. With that said,a young man, twenty years old,was arrested yesterday. The police suspect him of threatning people in the assembly. They claim that he used his computer to send two threatning messeges. He wrote that another attack twords the GLBT community was soon to come, and that this one would be a lot bigger. He added: "Don't say we didn't warn".

The following statement was issued by the Open House, who opperates from Jerusalem and is considered one of the main GLBT organizations in Israel: "
Jerusalem open house is deeply shocked by this night´s (Saturday) shooting event in Tel Aviv LGBT Aguda house. We send our condolences to the families of the victims and get well wishes to the injured. We express our solidarity with the LGBT community and organizations in Tel Aviv, who ache tonight.
This difficult time, in which the identity of the dead is yet unknown, funerals are yet to be held and the motive to this crime is yet to be discovered, we at the Open House dedicate our time to strengthen the community, to talks, support and mutual hugs. Only then will we address the Israeli society together and demand the end of violence.
