Birmingham UK, HELP?

Hi there im heading out in Birmingham this Saturday (15th) with some friends from work (some gay/some straight) , and wondering wheres best to go thats gay/gay friendly.

I have read reviews about places like Subway City and DV8, however there not really up to date, so dont know what theyre like now.
