German diver Timo Barthel has secured a gold medal at the European Championships in the men's synchronised 3-meter springboard event. Barthel, alongside partner Moritz Linus Wesemann, achieved this victory in Antalya, Turkey.
This marks a significant win for Barthel, who previously earned bronze medals at the European Championships in 2020 and 2022 (10-meter platform synchro). He also competed in the Paris 2024 Olympics, placing seventh in the 3-meter springboard synchro and sixth individually on the 10-meter platform.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Barthel has gained attention for his OnlyFans page. The platform, linked from his Instagram bio, features "sensitive content," primarily comprising training photos of Barthel in speedos, often highlighting his tan lines.
Barthel's OnlyFans page description clarifies, "Most of the pictures and videos you will see on my page are in trunks. Please don’t forget … I am a[n] athlete not a porn actor. We are in the public eye and have to take care of our reputation. Everything you see on this page is only for this page.”
He is not the only Olympian to utilize OnlyFans; other gay Olympians, including diver Matthew Mitcham and rower Robbie Manson, also have pages.
Regarding his sexuality, Barthel has stated that it is undefined. He told Outsports in both 2020 and 2024, "Human is human. It’s doesn’t matter which side you attracted to and It doesn’t matter which skin color you have. Human is human," and "Humanity is what counts. And love is love. Doesn’t matter which direction."
