British podcast "A Gay And A Nongay," hosted by Dan Hudson and James Barr, has won a prestigious People's Voice trophy at the 2025 Webby Awards in the "Best Independent Podcast" category.
Since its launch in 2015, Hudson and Barr have produced over 400 episodes of the podcast. The show features the two friends, one gay and one straight, discussing a range of topics and contemporary male experiences.
Notable guests on the podcast have included "Drag Race UK" stars Divina de Campo and Tia Kofi, "Baby Reindeer's" Richard Gadd, Eurovision champion Nemo, and actors Jamie Dornan and Elliot Page.
Expressing their excitement, Hudson and Barr stated, "We don’t agree on a lot, but one thing we can both agree on is how delighted we are to win a Webby Award. This is absolutely huge.”
The duo has previously received several UK podcasting accolades, including a Gold at the UK Independent Podcast Awards.
In a 2021 interview with Attitude, Barr shared their ambition to make "A Gay And A Nongay" the world's biggest gay podcast to foster better allyship among straight listeners, and to expand into a TV show and perform at venues like the O2. He also expressed a desire to interview controversial figures like Caitlyn Jenner to challenge their views on trans issues. Hudson, conversely, hoped to interview universally recognized figures such as Barack Obama.
