THis is a poem I wrote mom in Spring when our teacher assigned us to "voice our feelings." I really took this to heart because I've dealt with CPS twice in 8th months recently and when mom and I fight I end up living at a friend's or in the ER...so I wrote this for her..in hopes she'll hear me out. (comments appreciated).

Momma Dear, its been a tough year
I know we'll make it through
You need someone to hold you
Someone to care
Do not worry
I am here
So come Mamma, here
Tell me what is wrong
I will hold you
COmfort you
Do not fear
I shall be your blanket
So I'll wrap you in your blanket
And turn out the lights
Maybe even read a chapter of a book
Or hum a song
Cling to me Mamma
I am strong
You are stong
I know you are
Do not depend on going to the bar
I m here
Do you hear me Mamma?
I am listening
Waters of the sea lie glistening
The sun sets in a sky of passionate purple
Your favorite color
I'll paint you a picture
SO you can remember
Do not frown
I'll be here when you are down
RIght here
And I shall hold you in my arms
Dry your tears
And make you laugh
Because I love you
I shall not abandon you
Take heed, protect you heart
For this much, I have learned
