OK Fred I will agree with your point of view on one condition: that we raise the legal minimum age for marriage from 16 to 60. That will give people time to find out what they are really letting themselves in for. I'm leaving sunny Spain for wintry England tomorrow, so will not be around for a week. Hasta luego.

On a more serious note, I seem to have a fundamentally lower opinion of human nature than you. I support marriage not so much because I think it is so wonderful but because I think people are so bad.
