Nature vs Nurture - Born gay or turned gay?
#61
marshlander Wrote:So, using your definition of degeneration you are suggesting that "bad nutrition" can make you gay? I'd be fascinated to see the evidence that informed your hypothesis. I hope it doesn't mean I'd have to give up chocolate ... or cherries ... or carrots.

I'm glad you like fruits. All processed food are worst. It is business. Sugar are usually added by food manufacturers to make their products tasty and addictive.

Cooked food come second because of unbalanced nutrition. Some vitamins are destroyed during processing. These vitamins are meant to digest the food if eaten raw. "Studies in Deficiency Disease" illustrates this well on animals.

Our eating habit today cannot sustain health. That's why everyone has cold, flu, infection, etc, acne, etc. And people are so scared of bacteria and virus which are invisible enemies while coffee, tea, alcohol, cigarette, beer, wine, drugs (all poisons) are taken unsparingly. It's a crime to put them into the body. If we don't love our bodies, they will stop loving us.

True health means no disease or disorder. Logically, healthy people are extremely rare nowadays. Hunza is the healthiest tribe in the world The Wheel of Health

If you are patient enough, this book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration studies in depth into this matter.

So what other sorts of diseases are there? Given that every bit of the human body can be considered part of one organ or another.

I don't disagree with the information concerning raw foods vs cooked foods...and processed foods being poison to our systems....but I definitely disagree with your premise equating homosexuality with degeneration and/or disease. Obviously...families that all eat the same things produce both hetero and homo sexuals and your theory that the religious fundies use...continuing the species... If we were ALL gay...what makes you think we wouldn't have offspring...and lots of them? Because there is a lack of marriage? I was openly gay 100% when I donated my sperm (and not in a test tube...I did it the old fashioned wayWink) and produced TWO daughters. Remember...nature finds a way.Wink

Indeed. I so desperately wanted to be a father I managed to ... well, you know. Being a dad is just the most amazing responsibility and opportunity. Now, several grandchildren on I'm just sorry they all live so far away, but I see them when I can.

Good to see the debate is still going strong!

sooo, if we eat food raw, yes we may digest some more nutrients, however it would also mean a hell of a lot of people would die from food poisoning, and also a lot of foods we eat now would not be eaten. we wouldnt be able to make bread, pies, omlettes etc etc

As for the theory about this causing colds, flu etc, im sorry but personally i totally disagree! You will find that bacteria and viruses exist where ever you go! however they become more common in areas with a higher population. Populations are controlled by biotic and abiotic factors. Abiotic factors referring to the amount of space, light, habbitats (anything non living), and biotic factors referring to food, parasites, diseases, competition (anything living). You find as Abiotic factors are reduced, biotic factors increase (with the exception of food) , e.g space decreases -> disease increases. This would explain why as our population increases disease is increasing!
You will find the 'healthiest tribe are healthy because they are isolated, they dont have people bringing diseases into the tribe. Also bacteria and viruses there are spread between fewer people, who have the chance to build up an immunity to them. Also because they are spread less, they have fewer chances to replicate, which gives them fewer chances to mutate into a different bacteria or virus! therefore, they have fewer diseases etc. that would seem to be a biological explination with more accepted evidence. but i still fail to see how this is linked to sexuality?!?

Thanks, Pickles. I've never claimed to be a scientist, but I'd be very wary of quoting "evidence" from a site that itself claims
Quote:The mission of Evidence for God from Science is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and to encourage skeptics to examine the truth claims of Christianity. Having once been a skeptic myself, I understand that most skeptics assume Christianity is false before making a serious attempt to examine the evidence. Therefore, our goal is to present the scientific and biblical evidence that supports a rational belief in the existence and love of God.

One thing for sure is we are not as healthy as our ancestors used to be. The proof is more and more ailments are cursing us, heart diseases, cancer, etc. These conditions were less seen in the past.

Now just a thought, do you guys notice that those animals that have less chance to survive tend to lay more eggs or bear more children to preserve its species' existence?

Bad nutrition -> Degeneration -> Overpopulation -> Homosexuality. This is just nature's act.

That is my hypothesis. Rolleyes

In the past people died earlier of other things, or accidents, so your proof is warped... Human beings have never had a longer life span than now... What's all this nonsense?
