Alright I have now played Sonic 4 on the PS3. It was a demo. I must say it's better than the XBox 360 version.

I only played the PS3 demo, theres a difference between the two systems? I felt there wasn't enough in the demo. I know Sonic games are normaly short, (short game short demo) but I was kind of hoping there would be at least one special stage available to try.

I found the controls for the PS3 version's to be more fluid than the XBox 360 version's controls. I dunno... basically they're both equal if you get the hang of the XBox 360 version's controls. Actually I'm not used to the XBox 360 controller and I'm more used to a PS2/3 controller.
