Is it just a pimple?
#1
Hi. Gay guy with bump down there. Near the base of the shaft, maybe an inch up. Have had about a month and it remains but hasn't spread. Have not been sexually active since I last tested neg. Not an ingrown hair. Cant really see, but feel when jo. Feels like a scabbed over pimple or somethin. Is that it, or should I get it checked out? Money is tight. If pimple, suggestions to get rid of it? Never had one down there. Have had on my nose and tried what works best down there, but it stung. Need something else.

Hi.

the best way is to show it to a doctor. Sounds like a sebaceous gland... but you can get a infection.... so go to a doctor.

Pimples or bumps in that area are sometimes caused by shaving, stress, and smoking cigarettes. If it isn't really painful, discolored, or irritated, and doesn't come to a head then it could be HPV. HPV can live in your body undetected for months to years. Unfortunately, HPV is easy to catch and hard to lose, most people don't even know they have it. If you really wanna be sure about it then go see a doctor. [COLOR="Red"]DO NOT try to pop it, if it is HPV that would just cause it to spread, and if it isn't it could lead to some kind of infection. yea I had a sebaceous gland infection when I was around 25 and was really embarassed and scared (i was convinced that it was a cancer tumor lolz), it hurt like heck and the longer I put off going to the doc the worse it hurt.
One way or another, go to the doc. A little embarasment is worth peace of mind.

i understand that seeing a doctor maybe too embarassing or fearsome for you but that's the best advise i can give you right now. i think Urologist is what they call those who are specialists for male sex organs.
